Assalamualaikum (May peace be upon you)
We as an Islamic Society are a student led body, aiming to serve the academic, social and welfare needs of Muslim students studying at the University of York. Our aim is to be as inclusive and open to all students, regardless of their colour, race, gender and religious beliefs. The Islamic Society strives to create a sense of community, unity and brotherhood and sisterhood. We hope the ISOC can assist you in getting the most out of your university experience, without compromising your faith and values by offering a wide range of activities including lectures, socials, trips, study circles and much more!
Support, enthusiasm and engagement is what we need from each and every one of you, so please get involved in the society as much as you can, whether its volunteering to help out for an event, to simply turning up to a social with an empty stomach, we need your engagement! Please take some time out to explore the rest of the website and make sure you are subscribed to our mailing list, to keep you fully informed about the exciting events the new committee has planned for this year. We welcome you to join us on our journey ahead this year!
